The Project Camp
The challenges of entrepreneurship education have considerably evolved throughout the past decades. The ways in which education is facing them are creative, adaptive, innovative, untraditional, conventional, unsatisfactory, outstanding …
…in short: unmanageable!
The EntreLEARN project camp is a two day event inviting entrepreneurship educators and students, entrepreneurs and other professionals and academics - all those directly or indirectly involved in the development and realisation of entrepreneurship education on local, national or international level - to discuss relevant issues of entrepreneurship education in the new decade 2010-2020.
The aim is to:
- Shape the needs of entrepreneurship education and define its objectives accordingly
- Exchange and discuss ways to achieve those objectives
- Discuss the steps we need to take and the direction we should promote
The format of the event is highly interactive and flexible. To enable an open exchange on those topics considered to be most relevant by all participants, the second part of the event is held in a "bar camp" format. Participants hand in a topic they would like to present and discuss about. This topic is briefly presented to all participants at the beginning of the event and then every participant can vote for a topic to be deepened in the subsequent sessions. The topics with the highest votes will be chosen for presentation.
What is a Bar camp? "A bar camp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event." (www.barcamp.org)
The next EntreLEARN project camp is planned for 2012. We are looking forward to meeting you there.
