THE COEUR - IDEA GENERATION WORKSHOP
“Idea Generation Workshop” is the title of a 5 day European students workshop running every year in September at one of the COEUR network universities. Being open for students from all disciplines the COEUR – Workshop is an instrument to generate new entrepreneurial ideas with an European Dimension. On a level of personal developement it enables a unique intersocial and cross-cultural experience stimulating independent thinking and self responsible behaviour.
During the workshop, students from different European Higher Education institutions get together in small intercultural and multicompetence teams to develope an entrepreneurial idea for the European market.
All workshops are held outside the traditional school environment at inspring places of any kind that are meant to stimulate an open minded and creative way of thinking in participants.
Throughout the week, the teamwork sessions are inspired and complemented by diverse workshop sessions which seek to foster

The first Workshop was held in 2004 at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz (Germany) together with students from Aberdeen (Scotland), Wroclaw (Poland) and Portugal (Lisbon) and in cooperation with JCI Europe (Junior Chamber International). In 2005 the 2nd COEUR – Workshop (including Dijon/France as new partner) was successfully held at the partner institution in Scotland. The 3rd workshop took place in 2006 in Wroclaw (Poland) and in Lisbon (Portugal) in 2007. In 2008 and 2009 the event was realized in Dijon (France), whereby the 2009 event welcomed new higher education institutions from Sweden, the Netherlands, Austria, Lithuania and Great Britain that were interested in making the "COEUR experience".
